Mark has resided in Bellmawr, NJ for 43 years. He has worked for several large production firms in the tri-state area, spending most of his career at Menasha Corporation (formally Triangle Containers) with his main focus to develop machine schedules for production machinery and maintain raw material inventory. He has also worked for Western Kraft Industries, St. Joe Paper Company and Connelly Containers. Mark has his B.S. from Temple University and he majored in Industrial Management. Mark has been an E.S.L tutor off and on over the past 10 years and he has recently retired and is currently tutoring a student for Literacy Volunteers of Camden County. Mark finds his volunteer tutoring to be a rewarding experience and allows him to give back to his community. He joins the LiteracyNow Board with high hopes to help this program gain awareness.
Daniel has over 20 years experience providing professional instruction and personal motivation in the the areas of Job Search, Job Retention and Language Arts Education with quantifiable and measurable results on an invdividual basis and in a classroom setting. Daniel holds an Associate of Applied Sciences in Journalism, completed 60 credit hours attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and earned his Bachelor of Arts in English (with Teaching Certificate) from Rowan University. Daniel has become nationally certified and recognized as a Work Certified Program Instructor. Daniel worked as a freelance business and technical writer/journalist. Through the years he has worked in several educational positions, serving as a director, and an instructor. Daniel is a Certified ESL Tutor for Literacy Volunteers.
Holly de Keyser
Holly is pleased to serve as a member of the LiteracyNow Board and has been a long time resident of Camden County, even before graduating from Cherry Hill High School East. After college
and living abroad in Asia, Holly returned to the US and ran her own retail and wholesale business operating in two states, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Upon joining Literacy Volunteers of Camden
County as a tutor, Holly has taken an active part in tutoring many ESL and Basic Literacy students, which she finds to be an especially enriching and rewarding experience.
Aravind joined TD Bank in 2011 and is currently Head of Retail Bank Operations. He holds a PhD from the University of Illinois in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business where he graduated with the highest academic honors. He began his career in 1997 at DuPont and moved on to Capital One in 2005, serving as a Senior Vice President. In his free time, he enjoys ultra-distance triathlons and is an Ironman Finisher. Aravind has had personal experience learning English as a Second Language and is proud to represent TD Bank on the Board as it forges a community partnership with Literacy Now and Literacy Volunteers of Camden County.
Silviya has lived in Stratford since 2003 after she came from Bulgaria to the USA with her husband and two children. She was an ESL student at Literacy Volunteers of Camden County, which helped her graduate with an accounting degree from Camden County College. After working as a teller at TD Bank, she recently joint Freedom Mortgage Corporation as an accountant. In addition she has earned her Master Degree in Engineering in Bulgaria.
Michele was an Assistant Prosecutor from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, now retired, where she served in many leadership roles for 25 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from LaSalle College and went on to Rutgers Law School where she earned her Juris Doctor. In addition, she earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Rutgers. Michele completed the Literacy Volunteers of Camden County tutor training in Winter, 2014 and has embraced this new role, enthusiastically tutoring reading students at the One Stop in Camden. Wanting to do even more for the organization which has recently brought her so much fulfillment, she has joined the Literacy Now Board.
Sevena has lived in Bellmawr for 43 years with her husband and raised three children. While they were growing up, she was involved in the PTA, Scouts, Little League, Girls Softball and other organizations. In addition, she taught pre-school and served as director at Bellmawr Nursery School. Sevena earned her BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Temple University. Over the years she has taught different elementary grades and worked in administration besides pre-k in Philadelphia, Camden and several South Jersey private programs. While Sevena worked at Segaloff Counseling and Treatment Center, she created a Drug and Alcohol Pre-School Prevention Program and organized a Parenting Program. Currently, Sevena is employed by K&K Educational Services where she provides Homebound Instruction for Prek-K thru 12th grade. For the past 9 years she has worked, on and off, as an ESL tutor. She loves watching the students acquire literacy and work related skills. At this time, she is both an ESL and Basic Literacy Volunteer for several students. Giving back to the community and assisting children and adults to be life long learners is a passion of hers.
K.K. and his family are long time residents of Voorhees. He has a wide range of environmental activities, professional credentials and community services in his many years of experience. Since his retirement in 1998, he is currently involved in many local volunteer boards within Camden County, such as, the Voorhees Township Environmental Commission, Camden County Asian American Advisory Council, and Camden County Municipal Utility Authority Board. Prior to retirement, he spent over 25 years working as an enforcement officer and supervisor for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He has his M.S. in Chemical Engineering and has also successfully run his own environmental consulting business.
