Sevena Sacks

Sevena and her husband have lived in Bellmawr for 43 years. While raising three children, she has been involved in the PTA, Scouts, Little League, Girls Softball and other organizations. In addition, she taught pre-school and served as director at Bellmawr Nursery School. Sevena earned her BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Temple University. Over the years she has taught different elementary grades and worked in administration besides pre-k in Philadelphia, Camden and several South Jersey private programs. While Sevena worked at Segaloff Counseling and Treatment Center, she created a Drug and Alcohol Pre-School Prevention Program and organized a Parenting Program. Recently, Sevena was employed by K&K Educational Services where she provided Homebound Instruction for Prek-K thru 12th grade. For the past 9 years she has worked, on and off, as an ESL tutor. She loves watching the students acquire literacy and work-related skills. At this time, she is both an ESL and Basic Literacy Volunteer for several students. Giving back to the community and assisting children and adults to be lifelong learners is a passion of hers.

Holly de Keyser

Holly is pleased to serve as a member of the LiteracyNow Board and has been a long time resident of Camden County, even before graduating from Cherry Hill High School East. After college and living abroad in Asia, Holly returned to the US and ran her own retail and wholesale business operating in two states, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Upon joining Literacy Volunteers of Camden County, as a tutor, Holly has taken an active part in tutoring many ESL and Basic Literacy students, which she finds to be an especially enriching and rewarding experience.

Silviya Monova

Silviya has lived in Stratford since 2003 after she came from Bulgaria to the USA with her husband and two children. She was an ESL student at Literacy Volunteers of Camden County, which helped her graduate with an accounting degree from Camden County College. After working as a teller at TD Bank, she joined Freedom Mortgage Corporation as an accountant. In addition, she has earned her Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Bulgaria.

Charlene Etheridge

Charlene is a resident of Cherry Hill. She and her daughter moved to NJ in 1977, when the engineering job market was waning in California.
She retired as a mathematician from Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2005.
Charlene has been a Math Tutor with the Literacy Volunteers of Camden County since January 2013,
and a Board Member since 2015.

John is a resident of Haddon Heights, married, and has a daughter. John retired as a project manager from NCR Corporation five years ago and has been an ESL tutor for LVCC since 2008. He also currently serves as a member of the LVCC Advisory Board.
